Children and Environmental Health

Children at PlayChildren are at greater risk than adults when it comes to environmental contaminants.  Last year saw a dramatic increase in public awareness concerning the dangers of BPA (Bisphenol-A).

Unfortunately, BPA is only one chemical amongst many that are potential health hazards.  Here are a few links to sites and pdf documents that provide a useful, easy to understand explanation specifically focused  on the dangers faced by children.  Find out about strategies for minimizing toxic chemical exposure at home and at school.

Produce Bags Now Available

Children at PlayWe've just added Cotton Mesh Produce Bags as a new product line on our website.

Grocers usually provide thin plastic bags for customers to select fruits and vegetables.  These are single-use bags used to bring your produce home and are then discarded.

If you are committed to reducing the number of plastic bags you use when shopping then consider these reusable, durable cotton mesh produce bags next time you visit your grocery store or farmer's market.
